Who can throw?Axe throwing is one of those great sports that can be picked up by anyone of any level of fitness! You're good to let loose your inner viking so long as: - You’re wearing enclosed footwear - You’ve signed a participant waiver - You are over the age of 18, or a minor aged 14 years and up with a parent or legal guardian present - You are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol
-
Is there an age limit? The minimum age to throw is 14. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and sign a participant waiver on their behalf.
-
What if I don't have 6 or more people? We speacialise in group bookings, and want to make sure you get as many games as possible during your session! If you don't have 6 or more people, we can help you out in one of two ways: Option 1: Join in a Small Group Public Session! On Fridays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3:00pm we offer Small Group Public Sessions. You’ll share the lane with other smaller groups to make up the numbers for a proper tournament and the coach will take it from there. Who knows you might make a new friend or rival! Option 2: Still keen on Private Session? No worries! You're welcome to make a Group Booking for smaller numbers, but the minimum cost would still be for a minimum of 6 people for the 2 hour session and your own dedicated Lane and Axe Coach. (Minimum cost is $330 including the deposit.) Give us a call to let us know if you're bringing less than 4 people, so we can ensure you're getting the most out of your session.
-
Can I throw if I'm pregnant? You're very welcome to come throw if you want to! If you have any questions or hesitations we recommend a consultation with your doctor prior to booking.
-
Is an axe heavy? Not at all! Our session axes only weigh about 1.1kg and our big “tie breaker” axes weigh about 1.5kg. Our axe coaches are there to help you and will find the technique that works best for you. So whether you throw with 1 or 2 hands, you'll find the technique that feels most comfortable and gets those axes to stick!
-
Can I bring my own axe?Unfortunately we don't permit the use of personal axes, but we've got you covered for your session. The axes we use have been thoroughly tested to suit new and veteran throwers alike for use within the layout of our venue.
-
How do I book? The best way to book is through our website, so you can see what sessions are available. Deposits must be paid at time of booking. If your desired booking is within 24hrs, or you're having any trouble, give us a call on 0452241293 or send us an email at battleaxethrowing@gmail.com.

How do I pay the deposit? We accept Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and debit on our website and in the venue. We don't carry cash on the premises, so cash payments are not accepted. Sorry!
-

-
Can I bring my dog?Battle Axe Throwing is pet friendly, so as long as your dog doesn't mind the noise of axe throwing and doesn't wander into the lanes, they're welcome.
