​We’re excited to introduce the Australian Championship, a brand-new addition to the Battle Axe Throwing annual lineup!

As a SECOND IATF Major Tournament across this weekend, it will not only be your chance to go head-to-head with the best axe throwers in our region but also another opportunity to claim a coveted bid into the 2025 International Axe Throwing Championships (IATC).

It’s time to prove you’ve got what it takes to be the best in Australia and earn your place on the international stage!

AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

The Australian Championship is here, bringing a brand-new level of competition to Battle Axe Throwing.

Who will be the inaugural Australian Axe Throwing Champion?!

Ticket Price: $120 per person

Registration: 9:00am

Start Time: 10:00am

Prize Pool: $855 (1st: $320, 2nd: $220, 3rd: $170, 4th: $145) + Merch & Sponsors Prizes

Tournament Rules:

• Open tournament

• IATF Premier ruleset

Tournament Format:

• Seeded, Double Elimination

• Competitors will have a minimum of 5 matches

​Every player completes 3 random seeding matches before then entering a Double Elimination tournament with initial placement in the bracket determined by those matches.

IATF MAJOR Marquee Tournament Information:

• As a sanctioned IATF MAJOR Marquee Tournament, 1st place will receive an automatic bid into the 2025 International Axe Throwing Championships (IATC).

• 2nd and 3rd place will receive automatic entry into an IATF GRAND SLAM event within the following 12 months.

• If the winner has already secured a bid into 2025 IATC or opts out of 2025 IATC participation, the prize bid will trickle down to the next highest placing player who is eligible.
